I picked up Nate from daycare a little early and headed up to my parents to get Allie. We typically go up at bedtime so needless to say he got a little bored with the 2 hour trip . . . luckily he took a little cat nap on the way.

Off to Grammy & Papa's
Unfortunately the YMCA Summer program ends a week before school starts . . . luckily I found a nice program up north that takes grandkids. Allie got to spend a full week up with my parents. But let's face it, reports indicate that Ethan should get most of the credit. Regardless, she had a great time! Playing with Ethan, going to eat at Uncle J's... what's not to love?!?

Tooth Fairy - here we come!
And did I mention that she doesn't know where the tooth went? I asked when she lost it and she said she didn't know . . . she just went to wiggle it and it wasn't there. So sad for a first tooth but luckily the tooth fairy still came so all is well :)

Family
It's always fun to go visit Grandma and Grandpa's house but it is even more fun when we get all the aunts, uncles, and cousins involved :)
I love this shot of Shannon, Nate, and Zach . . .
This picture quality is terrible in the next shot but it is so nice to see all the boys around the table I just had to include it.

Breakfast at the track
It's become a much-loved annual tradition . . . we stop at The Bread Basket for some egg sandwiches and go sit in the bleachers to eat and watch the horses warm up. This year certainly didn't disappoint.

Big Truck Day!
The Children's Museum has this event every year . . . they get a bunch of trucks to come to the Maple Ave School parking lot. The kids love it!! They get to climb into all the trucks and (most importantly) honk the horns. Seriously one of the best ideas for a fundraiser ever!
This year had the added excitement of a helicopter landing in the middle of the event . . . and blowing tents and papers everywhere! Glad we weren't near when it landed.

Shark tooth
First, Allie introduced us to febrile seizures. While they're relatively common and not hazardous, they are downright scary for a parent (especially when you don't yet know they are common and not hazardous!) and fortunately she outgrew that phase without issue.
Well, now she brings us . . . shark teeth! Again, a relatively common occurance where the grown up teeth take the path of least resistance and pop up *behind* the baby teeth. Really?!?!? Live and learn.
