Grandma & Aunt Lindsay's Birthday

A (really) long weekend comes to an end with dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's house to celebrate Grandma and Aunt Lindsay's birthday.

The kids were great for the most part but I think this picture shows exactly how busy a weekend it was :)

Memorial Day Parade

The kids and I took a walk downtown for the Parade.  And by "the kids and I took a walk" I really mean I power-walked while pulling them in the wagon in order to make it before the parade started!

It was a great parade . . . especially considering that it was almost canceled this year.  And Allie and Nate got a couple of American flags from Uncle Ron!

And did I mention they got some candy?  It's no wonder kids love parades so much!

Shannon's 4th and Zachary's 1st Birthday!

What do you do when the kids keep gathering around the game the guys are trying to play?  Put a canoe in the yard, of course!

I came across this picture on Lindsay's blog from Shannon's 1st birthday . . . it's so hard to believe they've all gotten so big and now Zachary is this age!  And doesn't Nate look exactly the same now except a little taller?

Let them dance!

Nate created a lot of dances today . . . his table cleaning dance was one of my favorites!

First ice cream of the season!

Ok, I admit it . . . it is more of a treat for me than for the kids!  I *love* my soft serve ice cream cones in the summer.  But don't tell the kids, ok?  They still think it's all about them.

And it is more fun to help the kids "clean up" their cones when they get a flavor you like . . . banana ice cream with chocolate sprinkles?  Blech.  Nate got even messier than normal without the extra "help" I usually give him . . .

Concert

Allie's big Kindergarten concert was today.  She did such a great job and it was funny to see how into it she was . . . always the performer :)

Finger Lakes!!

It was a beautiful weekend and, despite a few glitches, we had a great time visiting a couple wineries and just generally enjoying the peace and quiet of a kid-free weekend!

Mother's Day

It was another fabulous spring day.  The kids had a blast playing with all their cousins over at Grandma & Grandpa's house!!

10th Anniversary!

It was a gorgeous evening so we walked over to The Local with the kids . . .

. . . and then made a stop at the park on the way home.
